Head of DX Finance, Japan
JPN Head of Finance for DX reports to APJ DX Head of Finance functionally and to SHS JPN Head of Finance as in country-manager. This role serves as the primary responsible contact to APJ DX Head of Finance, APJ LS Management, POC Global Management, APJ DX CS, APJ CBS and other functions for all financial matters, and is implementing and defining finance policies and guidelines, ensuring proper accounting and books and records, governing the financial management of the assigned JPN DX businesses and areas of responsibility. You will work closely with the Regional (Laboratory Services) And Global (Point of Care) DX Finance Leadership Team and collaborate with commercial and finance leaders across Siemens Healthineers to drive profitable growth and support overall business objectives.You will be responsible for driving profitable growth, share gain and value creation across the DX portfolio in the respective markets, together with the respective management team members. This role will be a trusted partner for supporting and driving all commercial activities of the Laboratory DX and Point of Care products portfolio. The DX Head of Finance
  • Has entrepreneurial finance management responsibility for the commercial and business success of JPN DX
  • Understands business trends and provides financial insights and appraisal to inform and drive business decisions.
  • Directs the development of annual business plans and long-term projections based on macro and market trends, actual business development, prior budget assumptions, and future business requirements
  • Directs financial reporting, analysis & research of the most complex business issues and develops recommendations
  • Manages and controls the regional cost base, including infrastructural costs, resource allocation and capacity/ utilization considerations
  • Plans, organizes, and directs the finance functions of JPN DX to ensure that business objectives are met or exceeded on a consistent basis.
  • Optimize processes and substantially enhance the efficiency, accuracy, and transparency of the finance function, associated processes, and local business operations.
  • Builds strong relationships and foster teamwork among departments and staff to achieve maximum productivity
  • Directs contract management, financially oriented customer negotiations, contract reviews and analysis, as well as the active shaping of potential or pending contracts
  • Role model the Healthineers People and Leadership Practices and champion high-performance culture and engagement of employees.
  • Develop/ execute a tight performance management process incl. adoption of the Healthineers Performance System.
  • Leads the local finance teams, drives competence and talent development, diversity, and finance excellence
  • Recruits, develops, retains, motivates and aligns an industry leading high-performance team.
  • Ensures business continuity and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
  • High degree of partnership and teamwork with core functional and governance related departments to ensure implementation of company management system (e.g. Business, HR, Legal, etc)
  • Advises APJ Finance for DX on all finance-related matters concerning JPN DX

  • 10+ Years Finance and Commercial Leadership with relevant scope
  • Education - Degree in a relevant finance or business discipline
  • Track record of sustained value creation, successful transformational turnarounds, consistent profitable growth
  • Experience working in a multinational company and depth of expertise in the healthcare industry is preferred
  • Strong combination between commercial and strategic thinking and technical finance management skills
  • Knowledge of all aspects of business finance including strategy formulation
  • Able to work closely with local and regional business leaders and international headquarters
