A leading global staffing and workforce solutions group with a strong international footprint is strengthening its internal governance and control framework in Japan.

The Role

As a key member of the global 2nd Line of Defense (2LoD) team, you will lead Internal Controls activities in Japan and act as the country owner for governance and compliance matters.

Reporting to the Regional Head of Internal Controls APAC, you will plan and execute internal control testing in line with global standards, assess the effectiveness of control design and operation, and provide improvement recommendations to management.

This role works closely with Japan-based stakeholders as well as APAC and global teams, providing advisory support and training to 1LoD functions while ensuring alignment with group policies and frameworks.

Your Skills
Business-level Japanese and English communication skills.
At least 5 years of experience in internal controls, audit, compliance, finance, or related functions within a multinational environment.
Experience with SOX, J-SOX, or Internal Control Standards (ICS) is highly preferred.
Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and collaborate across regions and cultures.
