Department Overview

In an era characterized by the increasing diversification of lifestyles and values, the challenges in marketing research are becoming ever more sophisticated and complex. To address these shifts and derive deeper, more fundamental insights, our mission is to leverage over 100 million big data points connected by Rakuten Group's common ID. We aim to provide new value across the entire customer marketing process through the composite utilization of this data.

Within the Rakuten Group, expectations are growing for new data businesses that capitalize on our unique and vast data assets. In December 2024, we executed an organizational restructuring, integrating Rakuten Insight, Inc., Rakuten Insight Global, Inc., and the Cho-Mini Job  business. This move established a stronger synergy creation system for data utilization.

Under this new structure, we aim to further accelerate the application of AI technology. Our goal is to achieve automation and sophistication in data analysis, enable real-time insights, and enhance the quality of decision-making support. Through these efforts, we strive to create new value that innovates corporate marketing activities.

We leverage digital marketing strategies and user experience (UX) design to build and nurture large-scale, high-quality survey panels. Through advertising operations and organic traffic measures, we efficiently acquire new users. Subsequently, we aim to maximize engagement and retention by thoroughly pursuing a UX that allows users to enjoy answering surveys without stress.

By maintaining continuous dialogue with our users and implementing mechanisms to visualize their contributions, we evolve our panels from mere data collection sources into vibrant communities that connect businesses and society. We operate a fast PDCA cycle based on data analysis, consistently providing experiences that exceed user expectations. This establishes a highly reliable panel foundation and contributes to business growth.

Why We Hire

We are planning and promoting the enhancement of UI/UX. Currently, we are in the process of Phase 1 of the site and app renewal. To further improve UX in subsequent phases, we are strengthening our project team.

Position Details

- Plan and promote new UI/UX (design user journeys, direct specific designs and operations, coordinate with the system development department, and measure effectiveness)
- Execute the PDCA cycle for individual campaigns and communication initiatives (planning → execution → effectiveness measurement → systematization)
- Participate in planning and defining requirements for system development to implement the above

Work Environment
- Total of 5 members: a Site Manager, a Leader, and 3 team members
- Employees with 3 to 10 years of experience in digital marketing, and one second-year new graduate

The ratio of new graduates to mid-career hires is 5:5, and we also have members who have transferred from other departments.

Additionally, our mid-career hires do not have industry-specific backgrounds; they are composed of members with marketing experience from various other industries.

Mandatory Qualifications:
- Over 2 years of experience in digital marketing
- Ability to direct design (even if not able to complete it independently, capable of coordinating with designers)
- Data analysis skills (able to interpret the success or failure from data output by tools)

- A proactive attitude towards learning and gathering information on new technologies and methodologies
- A mindset to collaborate with team members and employees from other departments, and to drive projects forward as a leader
