Responsibilities
The primary mission is to expand the sales of electronics on Rakuten Ichiba.
To achieve this, you will collaborate with various departments at Rakuten and Bic Camera to carry out the following key responsibilities:
Formulating sales plans.
Planning, executing, and evaluating promotional strategies to achieve sales targets.
Conducting market analysis.
Planning new features and services.
Since our team is a small organization, team members are expected to take on multiple roles.
Additionally, as the business operates as a single company, profit and loss management is crucial, offering the opportunity to work in a flexible and dynamic manner.
Work EnvironmentOur organization is composed of members seconded from Rakuten Group, Inc. and BICCAMERA INC.. Rakuten Group, Inc.
members are broadly divided into two groups:
BU (mainly focused on marketing) and CWD (mainly focused on UI/UX). Members seconded from BICCAMERA INC.
work at BICCAMERA INC.'s office but regularly hold meetings and discussions via Zoom or in person on a daily basis.
Almost all members joined Rakuten as mid-career hires. The team has diverse backgrounds, with some members transitioning from industries outside of retail and IT.We have its own dedicated development team, working closely with them to continuously improve services.
Having an in-house development team allows for relatively flexible development of new services, which is one of the key strengths.
Mandatory QualificationsPractical experience in business-related fields such as sales and marketing.
Basic PC skills (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
At least 3 years of professional work experience.
Desired Qualifications
Experience in merchandising within the retail industry.
Knowledge of data analysis tools such as SQL.
Experience in launching new services.
Knowledge of programming.

Additional Information On Secondment
After joining, you will be seconded to Rakuten Bic, Inc.
Even after the secondment, benefits and welfare will remain mostly the same as those of Rakuten Group, Inc., with some minor differences.
Additional Information On English QualificationTOEIC Score exceeding 800 (or similar level of English ability) or a University Degree earned in an English-speaking country.
Proof of qualifications will be required by the time of the job offer.
If no evidence is available to prove the qualifications denoted above, taking an IP test, organized by Rakuten, during selection process is required.
