About the Company
A newly established Japan subsidiary of a global (Korean) specialty chemical group. The Tokyo office currently operates with one local Representative Director, and the company is now hiring a dedicated Management Support professional to build and stabilize local operations. This is a long-term strategic role with broad involvement across accounting, finance, administrative coordination, and corporate compliance.
Position Overview
The Management Support Specialist will oversee core back-office functions for the Japan entity, including accounting coordination, financial planning, banking operations, and general administration. While external service providers handle technical accounting/tax work, the role requires strong communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities in a Japanese corporate environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as primary contact with external accounting/tax firms.
- Review and communicate monthly and annual accounting matters (P/L, B/S).
- Support documentation, vendor correspondence, and basic bookkeeping oversight.
- Prepare and monitor cash flow and expense plans.
- Process payment requests, expense approvals, and internal documentation.
- Handle daily banking operations and communication with financial institutions.
- Manage office administration, facility coordination, and vendor contracts.
- Handle correspondence with government offices.
- Coordinate insurance-related tasks and other external service provider relationships.
- Support internal documentation, filing, and compliance processes.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree or higher (any major).
- 3–7 years of experience in accounting, finance, or corporate administration in a Japanese company.
- Ability to communicate in Korean (Korean nationals and Japanese applicants both welcome).
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
Compensation & Benefits
- Annual salary:
¥4.4M – ¥5.0M - Annual housing allowance:
¥600,000 – ¥1,000,000
