Key Responsibilities

Implement the global People Strategy at the local level, aligned with regional and business goals
Serve as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact for leaders and their teams on all people-related matters
Lead the delivery of the annual HR cycle, including performance management, compensation reviews, succession planning, and talent development
Provide guidance and resolution on employee relations issues, ensuring alignment with company policies and local regulations
Monitor and apply changes in local labor laws to ensure ongoing compliance
Act as a talent broker to facilitate internal mobility and development opportunities across teams and regions
Collaborate closely with the regional people team to manage daily HR operations and resolve complex HR cases
Analyze real-time HR data to generate insights, identify improvement opportunities, and drive data-informed decisions
Design and deliver training sessions and workshops for local leaders and employees on various HR topics
Other tasks assigned by manager

What we are looking for

5+ years of experience as an HR generalist and solid understanding of HR fundamentals, including recruitment, people performance management, employee engagement, compensation, development, employee relations
Passionate about the business and partnering with and supporting leaders to deliver on business results
Advanced knowledge of labor law; experience from working in unionized environments would be beneficial
Experience from large international organizations and strong ability to build relationships and navigate a complex stakeholder matrix
Good change management, facilitation, and coaching skills
Be able to take ownership and act autonomously, while also adopting a collaborative working style, fostering cooperation and teamwork to find solutions
Flexibility and adaptability to deliver results in a fast-paced environment

Be self-driven, energetic, and have a 'can-do' mindset
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Japanese and English.
