The Pricing Analyst will be a key member of the newly established Japan Commercial Pricing Team. This function is being formed to delivery bottom line impact by creating and enforcing stronger controls in pricing governance and discount management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the end-to-end pricing process, including analysis, tracking, and reporting of discounting patterns
- Partner with Sales, Finance, and Marketing to review and simulate deal profitability
- Leverage pricing tool to evaluate requests against floor prices and margins thresholds
- Perform root-cause analytics on excessive discounting and help shape policy interventions
- Maintain and improve data quality across AX, Pricing tool and Power BI dashboards
- Prepare monthly pricing KPI reports and track compliance to governance protocols
- Assist in standardizing pricing processes and supporting SOP documentation
Requirements:
- Bachelor's in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field.
- 2–3 years in a pricing, commercial finance, or data analytics role plus prior other commercial experience advantageous.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (preferably AX) and BI tools (Power BI, Excel).
- Strong analytical skills; able to convert data into actionable insights.
- Comfortable working in a dynamic, matrixed organization.
- Preference for people with English speaking ability so that you can leverage the global pricing community to drive best practice in Japan
- Commercial Pricing experince is a must
