Who we are ?
Pocket Concierge, a premier restaurant booking platform in Japan, provides access to best dining experiences from accoladed restaurants to up-and-coming chefs. As the dining platform of American Express, the dining group also delivers differentiated dining access and benefits to cardmembers in the form of special events and exclusive access, engaging cardmembers, diners, and the restaurant industry.
Why do we do it ?
Dining is one of the service areas of highest usage interest for American Express's Cardmembers. The occasions range from spending special time with loved ones on birthdays and anniversaries, to spending time with casual associates and friends, or to build strong relationships with business partners at business dinners. The call center receives numerous inquiries every day from customers seeking a restaurant that suits their specific needs. We believe that responding to these needs by exceeding expectations in the form of the best dining experience will lead to the creation of new value for American Express.
How we do it ?
In order to provide the best dining experience, the refinement and enhancement of a smooth reservation experience for both users and restaurants is a key factor. In addition, Pocket Concierge will aim to the growth of the business and contribute to enhancement of American Express cardmember's benefits through product strategies such as linking with the American Express membership base, API integration of reservation information, inventory information, and restaurant information, and AI support.
What to expect to this position?
We're seeking a talented and passionate Product Manager to join our team. In this role You'll collaborate closely with colleagues and stakeholders in Sales, Marketing, Operations, Engineering, and other groups across the company to ship digital products that reshape our industry. You will join a nimble team that embraces an iterative and collaborative process with attention to detail and care for execution, always looking to validate concepts with end-users.
Qualifications
•At least 4 years in a product management role, with technical product management experience preferred
•Intellectually curious and passionate about product and technology trends
•Strong attention to detail and ability to manage large, complex projects across the entire product lifecycle from inception through to launch
•Grasp of technical concepts and comfort working closely with engineers
•Collaborative and hands-on approach that values diverse perspectives and helps uncover and address questions and assumptions
•Strong verbal and written communication skills in Japanese and English, with the ability to synthesize complex concepts and bring others along with your thinking
•Self-motivated and share responsibility for the teams success and progress
•Share our love of restaurants, and want to help the dining industry recover from a tremendously challenging year and continue to thrive
