Vendor Control Manager for Overseas Engineers (Outsourcing Management)

Background
To maintain and strengthen a stable, high-quality development structure in collaboration with global partners, we are seeking a dedicated professional to manage overseas engineers and outsourcing vendors.
This role will focus on remote-based overseas development partners, handling project progress, quality management, and vendor communications.
Working closely with internal product managers and development leads, the candidate will contribute to building an optimized structure and driving continuous improvements.
Responsibilities
- Manage project progress and quality of overseas engineers (mainly remote-based members)
- Track individual tasks, review deliverables, and coordinate deadlines and quality standards
- Act as a hub with vendors: identify issues, propose improvements, and implement preventive measures
- Collaborate with internal PMs and development leads to stabilize project structures
- Visualize vendor performance and execute improvement actions (cost, timeline, quality)
Required Skills & Experience
- Basic knowledge of software development (understanding of development processes and QA flow)
- Experience negotiating with overseas engineers or outsourcing vendors (meetings and email in English)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in project management or vendor management
- Ability to lead from issue identification through to solution implementation
- Strong skills in coordinating schedules and resources across multiple projects
- Business-level proficiency in both Japanese and English
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Offshore development management experience (SIers or global IT companies)
- Practical experience in Agile development or as a Scrum Master
- Engineering background (former SE, development lead, etc.)
- Experience in contract negotiation and vendor performance evaluation
- Native-level English proficiency or overseas work experience
