About the Role:
The Social Commerce Operations Specialist is responsible for managing daily operation of social commerce platformed channels, including merchant portal, support of paid & organic content creation, reporting & customer support tasks.
This role will begin as part of the launch team that will stand up Gap Japan's first social commerce channel.
This role will be expected to support the social commerce platform while also being a partner in the larger scope of the Japan Ecommerce team.
What You'll Do:
Provide daily/weekly/monthly reports of platform performance, provide site KPI reports in a timely manner. Partner with Financial team for timely sales recognition
Maintain promotional pricing strategy in partnership with manager, accountable for validation of coupon/pricing system execution in partnership with the junior operations specialist.
Analyse the effectiveness of prices/promotions for the social commerce platforms.Support the manager with sales driving strategy creation & tactical execution.
Participate new projects as the daily operation specialist for not only improving existing platforms but launching new platforms as well.
Partner with technical partnership vendor & junior specialist to ensure catalogue information flows correctly into the vendor portal.Support with Customer Relations and Logistics to handle customer inquiries.
Partner with social commerce marketing counterpart to meet ROI targets for paid social media content creation.
Partner with social commerce marketing counterpart on content creator sample management, in line with budget targets for this cost stream.
Work with Ecommerce, store operations & field teams to optimize store content creation programs.Support ad hoc requests needs for larger scope Ecommerce team projects, both new & existing.
Who You Are:
Required Experience
4-6 years of general retail operations experience
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written in Japanese.
Proactive, flexible working style.
Able to thrive in a matrixed organization.
Comfort with ambiguity.
Excellent computer & data processing skills for reporting (Excel, MS Office)
Basic editorial skills for Product Description etc
Fashion Apparel product knowledge of Gap Japan KK brands' assortment
Preferred Experience:
Experience with brand engagement & content creation trends on social media platforms
Basic communication skills in English (TOEIC 800 or equivalent)
eCom sales & operational experiences in direct and/or 3rd party platforms
Sales & data analysis experience
