Role Definition

Evaluates commercial loan requests by reviewing applicants' credit histories and analyzing financial statements in order to approve or deny loan applications.

Responsibilities

  • Reviews the credit history, profitability and liquidity of clients to assess the risk level involved in credit extension or money lending.
  • Consults with customers to verify financial and credit transactions; responds to customer inquiries and resolves customer complaints.
  • Communicates with credit associations and other relevant authorities about the credit history of customers.
  • Analyzes financial data to determine customers' risk profile for commercial loans; recommends approval or denial of loan applications.

Loan Origination: Knowledge of the skills, methods and technologies used to process new loan applications; ability to perform loan origination activities while adhering to established policies and procedures.

  • Performs customer service with regard to loan application processes.
  • Verifies collected customer loan information to ensure accuracy.
  • Prepares credit risk reports for management.
  • Maintains and updates information in various application channels and loan origination systems.
  • Participates in optimizing loan origination workflow.
