ResponsibilitiesDevelop a deep understanding of the global business to establish a robust global accounting strategy.
Lead all complex accounting treatment discussions to develop a globally consistent accounting policy.
Drive the external audit and J-SOX processes in compliance with regulatory requirements.
Drive FP&A discussions including budgeting and performance tracking.
Establish a robust intercompany transfer framework to ensure global tax compliance and coordination.
Maintain global tax compliance, identify and pursue tax efficiencies wherever possible.
Oversee monthly, quarterly and annual close processes to deliver accurate financials on time.
Oversee all global accounting operations and pursue operational efficiencies.
Work with FP&A Infrastructure Group to better utilize the ERP system.
Manage the Accounting Group and FP&A Group of Astroscale Holdings.
Assist the CFO on global strategic accounting workstreams relevant to the Office of the CFO as required.
Essential Skills
10+ years of relevant accounting experience.
CPA qualification with deep understanding of IFRS.
Deep understanding of managerial accounting based on experience.
Strong understanding of Japanese law and TSE listing rule compliance required for listed companies.
Experience leading or working at an accounting function of a listed Japanese company.
Effective global communication skills including strong written and oral communication capabilities in English and Japanese.
Team management skills including coaching, recruiting and retention.
Desirable skills
Experience in capital markets and investor communication.
Experience in leading fundraising at an issuer company or advisor.
Experience in FP&A functions or leading group-wide budget planning processes.
Experience working for a global organization.
