Our client is a global consumer electronics brand, and they're seeking an E-commerce Manager in Japan.

Ideal candidates will have a proven track record in the 3C or FMCG industries, along with strong expertise in D2C and major platforms such as Yahoo and Rakuten.

Key Responsibilities
Develop and roll out the Japan online growth strategy, with strong emphasis on marketplaces and direct-to-consumer (D2C) channels
Validate online channels and define channel-specific strategies to maximize reach and performance
Own full execution of the strategy, ensuring timely delivery and accountability across all initiatives
Design and implement sales strategies tailored to online channels, balancing short-, medium-, and long-term revenue opportunities
Drive sell-out performance and revenue growth across all online channels
Deliver accurate, timely business forecasts, revenue reporting, and performance insights
Align closely with global and regional teams to ensure consistency with broader strategies
Collaborate with the local team (especially online customer marketing) to create and track annual marketing plans
Achieve revenue targets and key financial metrics for each customer and channel
Provide weekly management reporting on performance vs. targets, market trends, and key activities
Support and enhance the ratings & reviews program to build trust and conversion
Maintain best-in-class practices in digital reseller marketing
Partner with agency teams to implement advanced capabilities and optimize campaigns
Proactively identify opportunities to improve shopper conversion through data-driven insights
Work with marketing and agency partners to translate analytics into actionable decisions and optimizations

What You Bring Required:
Minimum 5+ years of sales planning experience, including forecasting, business metrics monitoring, and reporting
Minimum 5+ years selling consumer products in e-commerce/EC channels (strong preference for experience in 3C or FMCG
Strong data-driven and analytical mindset — comfortable turning data into actionable plans
Deep understanding of the digital reseller marketing landscape and current best practices in Japan
Proficiency in data-driven digital marketing programs and tools
Solid grasp of channel economics (margins, rebates, campaigns, promotions, etc.)
Hands-on, proactive approach with high accountability, honesty, and integrity
Energetic self-starter who thrives in collaborative, fast-paced environments
Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret business trends and report insights clearly
Strong digital advertising operations knowledge and a keen mindset for web UI/UX optimization
Business-level Japanese and English proficiency
