Position OverviewThe Machine Learning / Data Scientist role focuses on developing and enhancing the company's core AI and machine learning algorithms that power its aviation optimization platform.
The position involves applying advanced data science and research techniques to real-world aviation challenges, including turbulence prediction, route optimization, and operational efficiency.
This role bridges academic innovation and practical application, contributing directly to solutions used by major airlines.Key Responsibilities
Lead the development and improvement of algorithmic models within Untangle.
Incorporate the latest academic research to enhance algorithm performance.
Evaluate and refine models based on real-world operational data and airline requirements.
Good to Have:
Experience & Skills
Proven experience in data analysis of both structured and unstructured data.
Minimum of 3 years in algorithm or machine learning model development.
Proficiency in at least one of the following: Python, TypeScript, CSS, JavaScript, Ruby, C/C++, PostgreSQL, Docker.
Experience with AI/ML frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively in a team (Git/GitHub).
Education
Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Meteorology, Aeronautics, Space Science, Physics, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
Ability to translate product requirements into algorithm design.
Knowledge of aviation meteorology, air traffic control, or flight trajectory prediction.
Experience with physics-informed ML models.

Annual Salary
¥5,000,000 – ¥7,500,000 JPY (Permanent Employee)
