About the Client

Our client is a Japan-based technology company specializing in generative AI solutions that support enterprise-level business transformation. They provide end-to-end AI transformation services, covering proof-of-concept development, system design, implementation, and operational optimization.


Their product suite includes no-code AI automation platforms, enterprise conversational AI systems, high-accuracy transcription tools, and AI assistants tailored for marketing, sales, and CRM use cases.

These solutions are deployed across industries such as manufacturing, real estate, and IT to significantly improve productivity and reduce operational costs.

The company operates in a global environment, working with international clients and projects, and actively promotes workplace diversity. English is widely used internally, and foreign engineers are already part of the organization.

Position Overview

The Generative AI Engineer will join the AI R&D organization, focusing on the research, development, and implementation of state-of-the-art generative AI technologies.

This role bridges academic research and real-world product development, enabling product teams to deliver industry-leading AI applications.

Key Responsibilities


  • Research and evaluate latest Generative AI, LLM, NLP, and CV technologies
  • Design, fine-tune, and optimize generative models (LLMs, diffusion, transformers)
  • Improve model performance, scalability, and inference efficiency
  • Build evaluation frameworks and address quality issues (hallucination, bias)
  • Integrate models into products via APIs, RAG, embeddings, and vector databases
  • Operate AI systems on GCP and share technical knowledge across teams

  • AI R&D team within a ~70-engineer development organization

Requirements
Must-Have


  • Master's or PhD in a relevant technical field
  • Strong background in Generative AI and deep learning
  • Advanced Python with hands-on experience in PyTorch or TensorFlow
  • Experience implementing LLMs, diffusion models, or GANs
  • Ability to translate research into production-ready solutions
Nice-to-Have


  • LLM/RAG and multimodal AI experience
  • Large-scale cloud training or inference experience
  • Academic publications or open-source contributions
  • MLOps, data pipelines, or AI agent development experience
