Ahead Staffing is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer for one of our global e-commerce clients. The ideal candidate will have experience with web front-end and back-end systems, capable of constructing infrastructures through public/private clouds, improving existing infrastructures, and providing support for production issues.
Responsibilities:
- Monitoring & Alert Handling: Manage and improve monitoring and alert systems to ensure optimal service performance.
- Construct Monitoring Environments: Build and maintain monitoring solutions for each product, enhancing visibility and operational efficiency.
- Service Performance & Latency: Drive improvements to optimize the performance and reduce latency of the systems.
- Operational Support: Provide operational and maintenance support, including on-call duties.
- Production Support: Act as the first point of contact for troubleshooting and resolving production issues.
- Collaboration: Work closely with Product Managers, Project Managers, and lead team members to support and improve the infrastructure and processes.
Required Skills:
- SRE Experience: More than three years of hands-on experience in Site Reliability Engineering.
- Monitoring Tools Expertise: Strong knowledge of modern monitoring tools, particularly Kibana and the ELK stack.
- Programming Skills: Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Go, Python, Java, C++, Rust, or shell scripting.
- Kubernetes Management: Experience in managing and optimizing Kubernetes (k8s) environments.
- Unix and Network Knowledge: Solid understanding of UNIX operating system internals and network configurations.
- CI/CD Expertise: Experience working with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or CircleCI.
- Automation & Configuration Management: Hands-on experience with automation tools like Chef, Ansible, or Terraform.
Desired Skills:
- Cloud Experience: Experience with public cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, or Azure.
- Collaboration & Communication: Strong team collaboration skills with an open and communicative approach to development and operations.
- Networking Expertise: Knowledge of IP networking systems and protocols.
- Web Development: Experience with web application development.
- Global Team Collaboration: Ability to work with diverse, cross-cultural, global teams.
- Language Skills: Basic Japanese reading and writing skills are a plus.
