The IT Desktop Support Analyst will provide onsite support for multiple sites in Japan as well remote support to several other locations within the North Asia-Pacific Region with periodic travel to those locations as needed for onsite support as needed, with the direction provided by the APAC Digital Workplace Manager who is based in Melbourne Australia.
The work location is based out of our Tokyo, Japan office and requires a customer focused hands-on technical analyst with the ability to multi-task in a high-paced environment.
Our ideal candidate is a quick learner, self-motivated candidate with experience with AV/IT equipment (servers, touch screens, VTC, AV and meeting room equipment, etc.) and basic knowledge of Cisco switches/routers on LAN/WAN/WIFI networks and ability to work under direction to configure and install.
You have skills/demonstrated experience in:
Ability to work as sole on-site support person with direction and support from remote IT Manager and working closely with key stakeholders on-site and remote.
Experience with support of laptop hardware and ability to troubleshoot network connectivity and desktop issues, fix technical issues relating to hardware and software.
Good written and verbal English language communication skills along with your Japanese language skills.Confident in supporting technical presentations.
Experience with supporting desktop remotely is highly advantageous.
Special requirements:
Chosen candidate must have existing rights to work and live in Japan at the time of application, and is able to travel internationally as this role may require some travels.
