Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Freelancer to join our fast-paced team in the major events industry in Japan. As a Talent Acquisition, you will be responsible for combining traditional recruitment methods with modern approaches to attract, assess, and select the most qualified candidates to support our major event operations. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in recruitment, with a focus on fast-moving major event environments in Japan.
Responsibilities:
1. Utilize online platforms and tools to post job listings and effectively advertise positions to a wide range of potential candidates. Optimize job postings to increase visibility and attract qualified candidates.
2. Review resumes and applications to ensure candidates meet the minimum qualifications for each role. Conduct phone and video interviews to assess candidates' skills, experience, and suitability for the fast-moving major event environment.
3. Utilise various channels, such as social media, professional networks, and job boards, to proactively source and attract potential candidates. Build and maintain a network of qualified professionals in the major events industry.
4. Utilise an ATS to manage and track candidate applications, interviews, and hiring processes. Regularly update and maintain candidate records to ensure accurate and up-to-date information.
5. Work closely with hiring managers and team leaders to understand their specific recruitment needs and requirements. Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to ensure a seamless recruitment process, from identifying hiring needs to onboarding selected candidates.
6. Assess candidates' skills, experience, and cultural fit through assessments, interviews, and reference checks. Utilize behavioral and situational interviewing techniques to evaluate candidates' abilities to thrive in a fast-moving major event environment.
7. Contribute to the development and promotion of our employer brand within the major events industry. Enhance our reputation as a desirable employer by showcasing our unique opportunities, company culture, and employee benefits.
Requirements:
1. A minimum of 2 years of work experience in Human Resources with a focus on recruitment & talent attraction in Japan.
2. Solid understanding of both traditional and modern recruitment methods and tools, including applicant tracking systems, video interviews, and social media recruitment platforms.
3. Proven track record of successfully attracting and selecting qualified candidates for various positions within tight deadlines.
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with candidates, colleagues, and hiring managers.
5. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
6. Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills to ensure accurate candidate tracking and documentation.
7. Familiarity with the major events industry or similar high-pressure, time-sensitive environments is preferred.
8. Bachelor's degree in human resources, business management, or a related field is desirable.
9. Solid understanding of recruitment policies and procedures.
10. Must be fluent in English and Japanese.
