Job Description
Servicing as a key member of the Talent & Culture team, you will oversee the entire recruitment process, ensuring seamless hiring and effective utilization of diverse recruitment methods.
- Reporting directly to the Director of Talent & Culture, you will lead the overall recruitment process.
- You will implement, review, and update recruiting procedures by managing personnel requisitions, replacements, promotions, transfers, deployment, and resignations in accordance with the payroll and headcount budget.
- You will monitor current and future trends in the local labor situation and social legislation, providing recommendations to management.
- You will plan and ensure timely use of various recruitment methods, including media advertisement, hospitality institutions, agencies, executive search, and internal notices, to meet the hotel's manpower needs.
- You will research and select effective job advertising channels and sourcing methods.
- You will create and publish job ads.
- You will screen resumes and job applications, creating shortlists of applicants.
- You will provide interviewing guidance to hiring managers.
- You will suggest ways to enhance the employer brand.
- You will host and participate in job fairs and career events.
- You will cultivate professional networks through HR associations, colleges, and other partners.
- You will handle new visa applications and manage renewal deadlines for foreign staff.
- You will prepare new contracts and handle contract renewals for fixed-term staff.
- You will support translations between foreign staff and Japanese staff.
- You will translate T&C-related contracts and memorandums of understanding into English, as needed.
- You will ensure exit interviews are conducted and utilize feedback from interviews to recommend team member retention.
- You will maintain a database of potential candidates for future job openings.
- You will ensure all employees comply with the hotel's policies and procedures as well as government regulations pertaining to employment practices.
- You will prepare and submit periodic Talent & Culture reports to management.
- You will prepare and issue correspondences relating to the Talent & Culture Department.
- You will ensure communication of Talent & Culture related matters by updating the T&C notice boards regularly.
- You will maximize the use of the T&C systems, providing all necessary reports as required.
- You will assist in the preparation of the annual T&C Budget and closely monitor expenses in line with the budget.
Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years of work experience in a similar capacity.
- Strong Japanese and English communication skills (speak, read, and write).
- Knowledge of Japan labor legislations and visa handling.
- Experience in conducting phone and in-person interviews, screening, and evaluating candidates.
- Sound decision-making capabilities.
- Knowledge of social media platforms and professional networks.
- Proficiency in using HR databases, applicant tracking system, and MS Office.
- Strong interpersonal skills and team spirit.
