Overview
We are seeking a Procurement Manager to lead sourcing and supplier management efforts for materials essential to the installation of industrial battery systems and energy storage facilities. The aim is to streamline procurement operations, shorten lead times, and support increased order fulfillment in the growing energy storage sector.
Key Responsibilities
Lead procurement of key components such as power conditioners and other materials required for industrial battery system operation
Manage supplier negotiations to ensure cost efficiency, lead time reduction, and alignment with sales and production plans
Develop and execute procurement plans based on demand forecasting and lead time analysis

Required Experience
Solid knowledge and hands-on experience in procurement and purchasing of industrial or technical products
Understanding of procurement-related legal frameworks (e.g., subcontracting law)
Strong negotiation and supplier management experience
Experience in outsourced contracts, trade operations, and demand/supply balancing
Experience in inventory optimization and process improvement is a plus
Required Skills
Strong logical thinking and problem-solving abilities
Project planning and milestone management skills
Excellent interpersonal communication and negotiation skills
Business-level proficiency in both Japanese and English
Proficiency in basic office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
Preferred Experience
Procurement experience in the battery, wind energy, or shipbuilding industries
Familiarity with electrical components procurement
Experience in sheet metal or welded structure purchasing
Experience in both development-phase and mass production procurement
Global supplier negotiation, including direct engagement without intermediaries
Supplier performance evaluation and contract management
Experience overseeing outsourced engineering, machining, or inspection work
International logistics coordination experience
