【Reason for Hiring】
While maintaining the high reliability that is a strength of our products, we are striving to realize low-cost packages that surpass those of our competitors. In order to expand our market share and increase sales and profits, the development of low-cost, highly reliable materials is becoming increasingly important for Renesas.
We produce packages in three regions: Japan, China, and Malaysia, and our department acts as a centralizer for the development of materials used at each site (cost/quality/TAT/BCM).
You will be able to work worldwide by collaborating with domestic and international material manufacturers, conducting experiments, analysis, and feedback, and collaborating with engineers at seven locations both domestically and internationally.
【Role Responsibilities】
You will be responsible for developing mold resin technology for the semiconductor assembly process.
- Worldwide mold material technology benchmarking (researching the latest technologies)
- Development of low-cost, high-reliability materials (replacement for existing materials, cost calculations)
- Manufacturer/material certification with BCM in mind
- Creation and execution of assembly evaluation menus (instructions to manufacturing sites)
- Package analysis (analysis in our in-house evaluation lab, SAT, X-ray, SEM, cross-sectional analysis, etc.)
- Creation and review of evaluation results
- Preparation of material change plans and promotion of change requests
- Technical advice to manufacturing sites and feedback to manufacturers in the event of mass production defects
- Training and mentoring of young engineers
Qualifications
【MUST】
- 5+ years of experience in the technical development of semiconductor back-end materials (mold resin)
- 5+ years of experience in the technical development of semiconductor back-end processes (mold)
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field (mechanical, materials, electronics, chemistry, etc.)
【WANT】
- Organic materials technology development experience at a materials manufacturer
- OSAT development experience
- Overseas work experience
