We are seeking an exceptional Managing Director APAC to build, lead, and scale our regional organization end-to-end. This is a defining leadership role responsible for market development, customer success, operations, hiring, logistics, and daily coordination with our Munich headquarters.
You will represent QuantumDiamonds in the most dynamic semiconductor region in the world; where next-generation architectures are defined, packaging innovation accelerates, and decisions on tomorrow's system designs are made. You will guide our customers as they adopt quantum sensing for advanced failure analysis, system debug, and measurement workflows, and you will shape how QuantumDiamonds becomes a trusted partner across APAC.

This role is ideal for someone who wants founder-level ownership, thrives in building from the ground up, and has the ambition to scale a high-impact technology across a pivotal global market.

What is expected of you

• Proven leadership experience in semiconductor equipment, metrology, inspection, or test; ideally with full responsibility for APAC operations.
• Deep understanding of advanced packaging (HBM, chiplets, 2.5D/3D, advanced fan-out) and electrical failure analysis or debug workflows.
• Demonstrated ability to build regional structures, labs, teams, and processes from scratch.
• Strong network and engagement experience with top semiconductor manufacturers in Taiwan, Japan, Korea, China, or Singapore.
• Strong operational discipline with the technical depth to collaborate with R&D, engineering, and applications teams.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams in Munich.
• Confident in engaging senior stakeholders across engineering, operations, and commercial functions.
• Willingness to travel frequently within the region and visit headquarters regularly.

What will you do

Build and execute the APAC strategy

• Define and lead the regional strategy across market development, customer engagement, business expansion, and operational scale-up.
• Take full ownership for regional performance and long-term growth.

Build and lead high-performing teams

• Recruit and develop teams across field engineering, applications, service, sales support, and operations.
• Create a culture of technical excellence, customer obsession, and operational rigor.

Establish world-class regional infrastructure

• Set up demo labs, service hubs, logistics frameworks, and all supporting operational structures.
• Ensure readiness for device shipments, deployments, maintenance, and long-term customer success.

Be the face of QuantumDiamonds in APAC

• Represent our technology to senior engineering leadership, packaging experts, and FA/AT teams.
• Build trusted relationships with major chipmakers, OSATs, system integrators, and research institutes across the region.

Drive commercial and technical success

• Lead commercial activities from early qualification to long-term contract support.
• Ensure alignment with HQ on product readiness, technical support, supply planning, and operational priorities.

Shape our product and technology roadmap

• Capture customer requirements, competitive insights, and regional market signals.
• Translate them into actionable input for product management, engineering, and global strategy.

Ensure smooth operations and compliance

• Oversee local regulatory, quality, and compliance matters.
• Establish robust processes to enable efficient and predictable regional operations
