NVIDIA is in search of a Senior HPC Engineer to join their Professional Services team. They work with academic and commercial groups worldwide, helping them leverage NVIDIA products to transform deep learning and data analytics, as well as to support data centers. Become part of the team behind some of the biggest and fastest AI/HPC systems globally. NVIDIA is seeking an individual with excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate on a dynamic customer-focused team. This role involves interacting with customers, partners, and internal teams to analyze, define, and execute large-scale AI/HPC projects encompassing Networking, System Design, and Automation, while also serving as the primary point of contact for customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deploy, manage, and maintain AI/HPC infrastructure in Linux-based environments for both new and existing customers.
- Act as the domain expert when working with customers from planning to implementation phases.
- Create handover documentation and conduct knowledge transfers essential for supporting customers as they deploy cutting-edge systems.
- Offer feedback to internal teams by reporting bugs, documenting workarounds, and proposing enhancements.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience providing in-depth support and deployment services for hardware and software products.
- Proficiency in Linux System Administration, including various aspects like process management, package management, kernel management, and network routing.
- Familiarity with cluster management technologies such as Bright and XCat.
- A four-year degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or equivalent field, or relevant work experience.
- Strong scripting skills using Bash, Ansible, among others.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to resolve customer issues effectively.
- Exceptional organizational skills to multitask and prioritize efficiently.
- Experience with Schedulers like SLURM, LSF, UGE, etc.
Additional Skills that Differentiate Candidates:
- Knowledge of Ethernet and Storage technologies.
- Experience with InfiniBand.
- Proficiency in GPU-focused hardware/software.
- Familiarity with MPI.
- Background in automation tooling using Ansible, Salt, Puppet, etc.
