About the department
- The Strategic Pricing Group at Novo Nordisk collaborates with various stakeholders in political and healthcare arenas to facilitate patient access to innovative products. Our focus is on providing optimal outcomes for patients dealing with diabetes, obesity, growth hormone deficiencies, and rare bleeding disorders. The position
- Lead the execution of market access and pricing projects, including formulating price negotiation strategies, exploring innovative approaches for timely pricing, and developing pipeline access plans and long-term price forecasts.
- Handle Wholesaler Purchase Price (WPP)/Average Realized Price (ARP) strategies, Health Economic and Outcome Research (HEOR) activities, and collaborate closely with internal and external partners to align with team objectives and Novo Nordisk Japan (NNPL) goals.
Responsibilities Include:
- Develop and implement price negotiation strategies in coordination with the pricing team under the Group Manager's supervision.
- Contribute to pipeline access plans and long-term pricing forecasts within the designated disease area to support CMR and financial projects overseen by the Group Manager.
- Assist in crafting WPP/ARP schemes, local market access strategies, HEOR activities, and payer communication plans with the support of senior management.
- Establish effective communication channels with internal and external stakeholders, fostering robust cross-functional relationships.
- Provide flexible support within the Market Access & Pricing team to address priority issues, collaborate on supply challenges, and work with the MAEA team to achieve key objectives and priorities.
Requirements:
- A minimum of a Bachelor's degree.
- Prior experience in pricing is essential.
- Proficiency in Japanese and business-level English proficiency (both verbal and written).
- Background in the life science industry, with a preference for pharmaceutical industry experience.
