The role of the Business Line Specialist, Linac for Region Japan is based on being the pivot between the Global business line and the region, this includes driving the achievement of regional Linac Business Line P&L, developing localised market strategies, launching new products / enhancements, new market development and winning new projects in the region. The role is concerned with the whole customer lifecycle of the Linac portfolio and services with focus on leading sales efforts and marketing support for orders, and revenue, as well supporting the Order fulfilment and Service teams to improve the customer experience. Providing input to short, medium and long term planning and strategy exercises based on customer input, market analysis and strategic planning either developed globally or locally. The successful candidate will also focus on competitive differentiation and developing regional strategies for turning customers into long term Elekta partners as well as successfully converting competitive accounts. Operationally the role is responsible for expert Linac sales support and directly & indirectly executing Business Line strategy as Linac specialists. The role is also concerned with comprehensive oncology solution among Business Lines to support products' related documentation/presentation to be along with Business Line Lead to be reported.

RESPONSIBILITIES


• Drive accomplishment of Regional P&L targets and growth ambition for the Linac Business Line.


• Develop regional and local sales/adoption strategy for the Linac solutions business in conjunction with business line, regional and local sales and channel partners


• Set and guard local price development based on solid win-loss analysis.


• Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with customers to support the promotion and sales of Linac solutions, always in full alignment with global and business line strategies.


• Consolidate the voice-of-the-customer and needs of the Region to the Business Line for input into the product development and strategic prioritization processes.


• Provide expert sales support for Linac across the region: events, site visits, value propositions, sales projects and expert tender & RFP responses.


• Provide input to Regional Marketing team to help drive Life cycle management business including the service business and services development.


• Provide input, segmentation targeting & content development to Regional Marketing team to help the opportunity generation process through targeted campaigns and programs.


• Set business line direction for budget process and LTP, drive and set guidance for regional pricing.


• Manage regional PR in close collaboration with Business Line and Global marketing.


• Educate & activate regional sales and distributors in the positioning/messaging/value propositions of the Linac business.


• Support market data collection such as customer needs, competitors, pricing, market share and market trends.


• Interact with other functions and operations within the Elekta Group to ensure seamless up- and downstream marketing

The role has 4 key categories of tasks to manage:

• P&L, Business Strategy and Market Development

• Sales and Marketing Support, including interlocks with Global and Regional sales teams

• Operations and general management of direct and indirect direction to related functions in the region

• Champion Linac internally and externally
RELEVANT KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

• Bachelor of Science or Engineering/University Degree/MBA or similar preferred.

• Strong experience in healthcare technology specifically in Oncology or Diagnostic imaging

• Profound knowledge of Radiation Therapy is highly desirable

• Proven commercial and marketing experience in Oncology or Diagnostic Radiology is preferred

• Relevant clinical experience in Oncology or Diagnostic imaging is a plus

• Displayed effective communication skills and requires great influencing skills

• Skilled speaker and representative in social contacts.

• A clear team player; strong track record in working in complex, multi-functional, multi-cultural and international environments

• Self-starting, Entrepreneurial, dynamic, creative and energetic behavior is the standard.

• As required to meet job objectives; willing to travel up to 50% of time

• Based in the Elekta K.K. office in Tokyo

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENT IF ANY.
Fluent Japanese in both written and verbal.

English skills are not essential, but preferrable.
