Position Overview
In this role, you will be tasked with:
- Managing client projects in the cyber risk advisory sector, such as organizing kick-off meetings, refining deliverables, and formulating recommendations.
- Executing projects by aiding clients in identifying valuable information assets, conducting cyber risk assessments based on ISO and NIST standards, and assisting in the definition of target operating models.
- Collaborating with key project stakeholders through information gathering, document analysis, and presentation of findings, ensuring clear communication and effective project management to maintain client confidence.
- Engaging with external technical partners to provide comprehensive solutions and deriving recommendations from their technical assessments.
- Working closely with other departments at Control Risks.
- Offering adaptive support during crisis management situations when needed.
Business Development Responsibilities
- Creating proposals for upcoming client projects.
- Assisting in project scoping, planning, and pricing.
- Contributing to the development of intricate, multi-service line proposals.
- Establishing and nurturing long-lasting client relationships.
- Engaging in marketing activities and public speaking engagements to enhance the Control Risks brand.
Key Requirements
Essential
- Thorough understanding of IT and network infrastructure.
- Demonstrated skills in presentation and critical thinking.
- Proficient in English communication with fluency in Japanese.
Preferred
- More than 2 years of experience in the cybersecurity field.
- Proven track record in cyber risk management within a reputable consultancy.
- Previous experience in performing risk assessments according to industry standards (NIST CSF, and ISO27001).
- Comprehensive knowledge of cyber security solutions and products.
- Ability to view security issues from a threat actor's perspective.
- Sound understanding of cyber risk challenges affecting APAC clients, particularly in Japan.
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as security, information security, intelligence, or computer science.
- International certifications (CISSP, CISM, SANS, etc.) or local Japanese certifications (Registered Information Security Specialist Examination).
