In Rakuten, security and safety are top priorities, ensured by the Cyber Security Defense Department (CSDD). The department oversees all aspects of the Secure Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and operational security for services within Rakuten Group.

Job Details
- Engage in cyber defense for Rakuten's commercial services and corporate IT systems to promote 'Internet World Peace'.
- Lead the Rakuten-CERT to protect services and customers effectively.
- Develop and implement strategies for cyber security monitoring and incident response.
- Manage the Blue Team to defend Rakuten's services from advanced cyber attacks.
- Enhance cyber defense by integrating private SOC and cyber threat intelligence.
- Contribute to improving cyber resilience in the organization and industry by developing cyber professionals.
Mandatory Qualifications:
- 7+ years of professional experience in information security.
- Operational experience in security monitoring, incident responses, digital forensics, or cyber threat intelligence.
- Minimum 3 years of team management experience with service delivery and budget oversight.
- Experience in implementing defensive controls during cyber attack incidents.
- Knowledge of web/mobile application concepts and vulnerability fixing processes.
- Experience in vulnerability management and 0-day response.
- Understanding of network and web application protocols.
- Demonstrated strong teamwork skills in diverse environments.
- Excellent consultation, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong sense of ownership and responsibility.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience in web service development and operation within corporate IT or cloud-native systems.
- Incident response experience in cyber attacks at large-scale services.
- Previous work in CSIRT or vulnerability management teams.
- Ability to work effectively in diverse workplaces and team settings.
- Experience in vendor contract management and security strategy planning.
- Knowledge of compliance and security requirements such as PCI DSS or FISC.
- Holder of security-related certifications like Security+, GIAC, OSCP/OSCE, or SSCP.
