About the job and the company:
Do you want to leverage your technical knowledge and business experience to drive change in Japan's manufacturing industry as an AWS Solution Architect?In the manufacturing sector, transformation towards adapting to uncertainties and driving innovation is ongoing. This includes digitalization of factories for data-driven management, connectivity of equipment and products, deployment of new businesses combining products and services, carbon footprint reduction, and leveraging AI technologies. As an AWS Solution Architect, you will work with customers to devise and support execution of technical solutions tailored to industry-specific challenges, as well as take part in expanding customer use cases globally.
Key job responsibilities:
- Lead the technical account team responsible for multiple roles for each customer to advocate the value of AWS
- Develop technical strategies for customer business success
- Provide suitable solutions to customer business and technical challenges utilizing the latest technologies
- Contribute to improving AWS services based on customer feedback in collaboration with the service development team
- Disseminate technical information about AWS internally and externally through seminars, blogs, etc.
A day in the life:
As a technical lead of the account team, we collaborate with sales representatives to propose solutions based on customer needs ranging from IT challenges to new business considerations and strategic management issues. By engaging in activities such as setting correct requirements through dialogues with customer technical personnel, architecting, demo implementation, and prototyping, we support customer projects from a technical standpoint. We also discuss technology strategies that bring business impact with management, propose towards realization, and engage in discussions with colleagues worldwide to ensure high-quality proposals. Leveraging our knowledge, experience, and working with colleagues and partners on AWS, we tackle a wide range of customer challenges, making it a fulfilling job.Aside from customer-oriented activities, we may participate in external events, write blog articles, and support other Solution Architects by utilizing our expertise. Initiating and fostering internal initiatives for organizational improvement are also key responsibilities of Senior Architects.
Working hours and style are flexible, allowing you to choose how you work based on the situation. Whether conducting face-to-face whiteboarding sessions to engage in deep discussions with customers or having online meetings for efficient information exchange, we adapt to ensure optimal collaboration.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 7+ years of experience in application development, architecture, consulting, and system proposal and construction
- Multiple experiences in technical presales, consulting, solution development, and system development (requirements definition, design, implementation, testing, troubleshooting) for enterprise companies
- Experience in architecture using cloud services or designing modern applications
- Proactive in acquiring knowledge of new technologies and embracing new challenges
- Proficiency in Japanese and business English (reading and writing)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience leading projects involving executives or high-level technical personnel in companies
- Lead experience in large-scale projects using AWS and other cloud services
- Development experience in Agile or Scrum, and DevOps style
- Knowledge and experience in designing and developing various business systems required in the manufacturing industry
- Knowledge and experience in designing and developing systems for factories and plants
- Knowledge and experience in wide area networks and data center networks
- Experience in security and compliance-related knowledge
- Knowledge and experience in enterprise stacks (SAP, Oracle, etc.)
