宅配便をはじめクリーニングの受け渡しや鍵の管理など、さまざまなシーンで活躍する宅配ボックス。これらを可能にしているのが、オンラインで宅配ボックスを見守る同社の管理センターです。24時間365日体制で、万一のトラブルにも迅速に対応。居住者に安心を提供すると同時に、管理業務の軽減化にも貢献しています。最近では、宅配ボックスの情報ネットワークをいかし、宅配ボックスの機能と連動させた、EV充電システム、カーシェアリングシステム、電動自転車のレンタサイクルシステムなど、防犯やエコを中心とした次世代サービスを次々に開発し、マンションにおける『究極の管理員』を目指しています。
■需要拡大中宅配配送のなくてはならない存在へ
ひと昔前までは、ちらほらと見かける程度で、「あったら便利なもの」だった宅配ボックス。通信販売やオンラインショッピングで買い物をするのが当たり前になったことで、現在では生活に「なくてはならないもの」として多くのマンションで活躍中。このようなネットショッピングの普及により、宅配物の物量が激増した昨今では、消費者が忙しくて荷物を受け取れない状況と、再配達の回数が増加し、宅配業者にとって負担が大きくなっている事態が、共に大きな課題として認知されてきています。その課題を解決する手段として『宅配ボックス』が大きく注目されています。消費者はいつでも荷物を受け取ることが可能になり、宅配業者は1回の配送で完結することが可能になる、非常に画期的かつ、今後求められる存在です。共稼ぎや独り暮らしの増加、近所づきあいの減少、女性の防犯意識、といった不在時などの持ち帰り荷物の増加という社会的背景も味方に、事業は追い風傾向。設立から約30年がたち、需要は拡大中。これからますます必要とされていく製品です。
