A Snapshot of Your Day

You will implement Commodity strategies to meet long-term, cost-efficient supply of materials and executing tactical purchasing processes in line with the given budget.

You will also support local SCM team in providing guidance on daily logistics transaction trouble-shooting, and improving the operation process if needed. The main stakeholder are local finance, sales and project management.

How You'll Make an Impact

  • Processes purchase requests by creating and releasing purchase orders to suppliers
  • Purchase order management, including tracking/ expediting to ensure a cost-efficient and on-time supply of materials according to demand
  • Maintains and updates supplier master data to keep the database accurate and up-to-date
  • Actively searches for potential standardization and improvement opportunities
  • Demonstrates strong customer focus by handling requests in a timely manner with high quality standards
  • Communicates efficiently and professionally within Commodity circles as well as with internal and external stakeholders
  • Monitor supplier performance and report it to relevant requestor
  • Systematically shares all relevant procurement related information ( updated contractual conditions, Supplier Management data) to keep all stakeholders up to date
  • Responsible for order management and logistic operation
  • Provide local import/ export guidance to employee who handle business operations (from quotation until invoicing process)

    • What You Bring

    ·2- 5 years' experience in Procurement Activities and supply chain (regardless direct or indirect material) with Japanese suppliers

    ·Operational experience of SAP, especially SD/MM modules

    ·Operational experience and knowledge over Import/Export logistics

    ·Communication and interpersonal skills and proactive approach in both English and Japanese languages

    ·Knowledge and working experience as Export Control is preferred.

    ·Intercultural mindset and adapting to country specific particularities.
