About Position

Paidy is looking for a skilled Software QA Engineer committed to achieving high quality software products.

You will be a member of Paidy's QA Engineering Department, responsible for ensuring the quality of all of Paidy's products through a combination of automated and manual tests of our apps, websites, APIs and backend platform. You will be working with stakeholders, developers, and teammates to help design and develop test plans and test strategies.

This is an excellent position for both mid-career and experienced QA Engineers who want to work in an international, fast paced environment using the latest technologies and putting their testing skills and knowledge to the limit.

Key Role and Responsibilities

This position reports to the head of the Quality Assurance Department and as a QA Engineer your primary responsibility will be to:

• Create test plans to ensure new Paidy app and Web features are properly verified before release
• Ensure the Paidy Apps are defect free before every release
• Track application issues, interact with engineers in other departments to make sure issues are understood and corrected
• Participate in QA Department internal meetings to plan and prioritize test activities
• Work along with highly-skilled and fast delivering Development Teams
• Constantly learn and suggest improvements within the Department

Our tech stack includes:

• Test Scripts and Software QA testing frameworks written in Python
• FrontEnd and BackEnd Testing Libraries and Frameworks such as Selenium, Appium, Pytest BDD.
• Circle CI terraform provisioning and deployment

Skills and Requirements

Qualifications/Must Have:

• At least 3 years experience in software testing as Software QA Engineer or SDET
• Knowledgeable on testing techniques, strategies and test design best practices
• Skilled with the Python programming language
• Experience building automated testing frameworks or writing automated tests
• Experience with non-functional testing, such as performance testing
• Great communication skills in order to work along with stakeholders to write test plans for acceptance and functional testing, both FrontEnd and BackEnd
• Experience working with developers in integrating automated tests into the CI/CD process
• Business-level or higher English (both reading and writing)

The following are encouraged, but not required:

• Conversational fluency in Japanese
• Experience in the Fin-Tech or Financial industries
