Welo Data is looking for a Japanese Lyric Reviewer to help us train cutting-edge AI. This role is perfect for you if you're a linguistic expert who loves music and wants to help improve automated translation systems. Your work will directly impact how AI understands and translates song lyrics.
This is a review-only position—no translation or editing is required. You'll simply evaluate the quality and accuracy of machine-translated lyrics from English to Japanese.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess machine-translated lyrics for meaning, naturalness, and contextual flow.
- Provide quality ratings based on predefined criteria.
- Identify and flag translation issues, awkward phrasing, or cultural missteps.
- Maintain a consistent and objective judgment throughout the review process.
Project Details
- Pay Rate: Approximately $15/hour for Translation Quality
- Location: Remote work, available to residents in many countries including Japan, US, China and Remote.
- Hours: Flexible schedule, with an average of 4 hours per day.
- Start Date: ASAP

Qualifications
- Native-level or near-native proficiency in both English and Japanese.
- A deep understanding of linguistic nuances, idioms, and cultural context in both languages.
- The ability to maintain focus and attention to detail when reviewing large volumes of content.
- Prior experience in translation, localization, or linguistic quality assessment is a plus.
- Bonus points if you have:
- Familiarity with various music genres and lyrical styles.
- Experience with online evaluation tools or platforms.
