Q1:これまでどのような業務に携わってきたか?
入社後数年、日本及び東南アジアにおいて環境領域のコンサルティングプロジェクトに従事しておりました。その後、私を含めた3人のメンバーで大型バイオマス発電事業のチームが発足しました。地図を手に全国を駆け回って候補地を探したり、技術を学んだり、地域の方々に受け入れていただいたり、会社として全く経験のないスキームを0から考えたりと、新たな事業の立ち上げをどっぷり経験しました。
中でも、燃料の調達が重要ですが、当時は過渡期ということもあり、確立した手法があったわけではなく、長期調達スキームの構築、契約条件、品質面、プロジェクトファイナンスの組成に至るまで、手探りで模索しました。色々なことがありましたが、何もないところから、少しずつ事業が進み、仲間が増え、運転中・建設中の発電所が全国に7カ所という規模に至りました。
この過程が楽しく、まさに臨場感を感じることができました。

私の働く上での判断基準は、ビジネスの最前線で濃度の高い経験を積み重ね、臨場感をもって仕事ができているかどうかです。

Q3:レノバの特徴は?
レノバには、新規事業をただ検討するだけでなく、それをやりきる確かな実行力とチームワークがあります。事業をやりきる核となっているのは、経営陣も含めて、皆が「自分事」として事業を担い、何かトラブルがあってもみんなでトラブルシューティングをして乗り越えていこうとする組織風土でしょう。
これが事業化の成功可能性を高めていると思います。エネルギーや環境の分野は規模が大きい案件が多く、したがって、会社の規模も大きく、業務を細かく分担して進める場合が多い傾向があります。
レノバでも、もちろんチームで協力・分担してプロジェクトを進めますが、垣根はなく、少人数で高密度な経験ができると思います。0から新しいことを実現させたい、そして挑戦が好きな方にとっては、レノバはきっと、働きがいのある会社だと思いますよ。
