The Role

As Accountant, you will anchor core finance operations supporting the retail business. You'll ensure timely, accurate reporting; maintain robust AR and treasury controls; and partner across commercial and supply teams to sustain operational excellence and brand integrity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accounts Receivable: invoicing, cash application, reconciliations, credit control, and aging management
  • Treasury: daily cash positioning, liquidity monitoring, bank reconciliation, payment runs, FX awareness, and compliance with group treasury policies
  • Closing & Reporting: journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, variance analysis, and preparation of monthly/quarterly reports
  • Controls & Compliance: uphold internal controls (SOX/ICFR frameworks where applicable), support audit requests, and ensure policy adherence
  • Business Partnering: collaborate with Retail, Wholesale, Supply Chain, and Merchandising to resolve issues and improve process efficiency
  • Process Improvement: streamline AR/treasury workflows, enhance visibility (dashboards/KPIs), and contribute to system optimization

Your Skills

  • Language: Japanese (Business‑fluent) and English (Business‑fluent)-comfortable with cross‑border stakeholders and documentation
  • Technical: solid AR operations; treasury routines (cash management, banking, payments); strong Excel (pivot, lookups, basic modeling); ERP familiarity (e.g., SAP/Oracle)
  • Accounting: sound understanding of GAAP/IFRS fundamentals, month‑end close, reconciliations, and variance analysis
  • Soft Skills: detail‑oriented, deadline‑reliable, proactive communicator; able to translate numbers into clear actions for non‑finance teams
