*General Summary:
Job Overview*
Candidate will join Qualcomm IE-IOT Task Force team and work with a team of highly motivated and experienced engineers and industrial players in Japan region for designing & developing system on modules and products based on Qualcomm's exciting new IoT focused SoCs with cutting edge AI, Machine learning, computer vision, security and wireless including cellular communication technologies.

*Field Application Engineering Role:*

• Understand key aspects of customers' system requirements and designs.
• To communicate with internal engineering teams on customers' issues/features/designs.
• Help external stakeholder including direct customers, design houses, eco-systems partners to easily port their applications on Qualcomm SoC based systems and utilizes various compute capabilities and software feature set on the Qualcomm SoC
• To train customers on Qualcomm's platforms and features

*Skills/experience:*

• Postgraduate with 3-5 years of experience.
• Graduate with 4-5 years of experience.
• Familiar with embedded system running complex and multimedia feature rich OS like Ubuntu, Yocto linux, Windows and Android.
• Experience in C/C++ programming and python.
• Exposure tasks like camera sensor bring-up, camera tuning, gstreamer multimedia pipeline bring-up and integration, display bring-up, graphic acceleration using vulkan or OpenCL, is desirable.
• Exposure Computer vision and AI/ML framework is desirable.
• Familiar with embedded system and real-time OS - exposure to one or more of Linux, Yocto, Ubuntu, Windows and Android based systems – bring-up, device tree, peripheral customizations, performance tuning, containerization solution.
• Solid understanding of computer system architecture (core, cache, memory models, bus architecture, etc.) preferrable based on arm architecture.

*Responsibilities:
Technical Support :*
Support the execution of Qualcomm's IE-IOT market development strategy in Japan's commercial channels from a technical perspective.

Assist in the evaluation and PoC (Proof of Concept) of devices through deep technical engagement with customer implementers.

Report Windows and Linux-related issues and bugs on Snapdragon to Qualcomm Customer Engineering, acting as a bridge with customers.

Project Management:
Collaborate closely with Business Development and Product Marketing to build demo and evaluation environments for specific projects.

Technical Training:
Provide necessary technical deep dive and practical training to customers as needed.

Solution Introduction:
Support the introduction of solutions for customers, including Industrial IOT, Cloud AI, and Windows, from a technical perspective.

OS and Languages:
Android OS, Linux OS, Windows, C, C++, Java, Python

*Education Requirements:*

• Master's / Bachelor's degree in engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science related field.
• Good hands-on C / C++ is must. Knowledge on Java and python will be nice to have.
• Exposure on gstreamer framework, various of AI/ML framework like tflite, pytorch, etc would be desirable.
• Must demonstrate communication skills in English (both oral and written).

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.

OR

Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Engineering or related work experience.

OR

PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field

*Minimum Qualifications:*

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or related field and 4+ years of Field Application Engineering or related work experience.

OR

Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or related field and 3+ years of Field Application Engineering or related work experience.

OR

PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or related field and 2+ years of Field Application Engineering or related work experience.
