Our team at Oracle is renowned for handling all aspects of product maintenance. We specialize in diagnosing and resolving bugs across various Oracle Server Technologies product domains. When the Oracle support team requires extra aid in resolving customer-reported issues, they turn to us to address the root cause at the source code level. Our team includes a dedicated unit prioritizing Japanese customers, based in Japan. This role pertains to one of the core database areas, aligned with the Autonomous Health Improvement project within Oracle Database Development under Sustaining Engineering. Our focus centers on enhancing code resilience and diagnostics to produce automated insights for expedited problem resolution.

[Qualifications]

  • BS or MS in Computer Science or a related field
  • 3+ years of software development experience, OR
  • 5+ years of Oracle database support experience
  • Proficiency in English communication (TOEIC 800 or higher)

[Required Skills]

  • Profound software development expertise in C (or C++) programming language, coupled with server/systems-level experience in large enterprise software.
  • Sound comprehension of System Architecture and hands-on Implementation experience in complex released products.
  • Solid understanding of Operating Systems encompassing Processes, Memory Management (including Shared Memory), File Systems, and Communications/Networking with IPC, etc.
  • Familiarity with Fault Tolerant systems and adeptness in exception case handling.
  • Exceptional diagnostics, debugging, and troubleshooting skills within Linux/Unix environments, along with the ability to identify product enhancements.
  • Proficiency in processing extensive product diagnostics/logs/traces to derive meaningful analytics.
  • Knowledge of Project Management principles/tools (e.g., Jira, Sprints) and adeptness in multitasking and managing shifting priorities.
  • Excellent written (including product documentation) and verbal (inclusive of presentation) communication prowess.
