We are looking for a
Distribution Management professional
to join
Allianz Commercial
in Tokyo. This role sits at the heart of our commercial and specialty insurance business, working closely with brokers, clients, and internal teams to drive renewals, new business, and long-term partnerships.

The role

You will be responsible for managing and growing broker and client relationships across Japan, leading renewal and new business discussions, and developing a healthy pipeline across commercial and specialty lines.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Building and maintaining trusted relationships with brokers, agents, and key clients
  • Leading renewal and new business meetings
  • Developing and managing a strong sales pipeline across commercial and specialty insurance
  • Working closely with underwriting, claims, and regional teams to deliver high-quality solutions and service
  • Operating in a regional and global matrix environment

What we're looking for

This role is well suited to professionals with a background in
insurance sales, distribution, underwriting, or business development
.

Ideal experience includes:

  • Commercial or specialty insurance experience (underwriting or business development)
  • Strong understanding of multiple insurance lines and at least one industry sector
  • Proven success in new business development, including broker-driven and international programs
  • Ability to build long-term, profitable relationships at multiple organizational levels
  • Experience working with global or regional stakeholders

Language & skills

  • Fluent Japanese (spoken and written)
  • Business-level English
  • Comfortable using AI and digital tools to improve productivity and support decision-making
