VC CCM: Video Collaboration Cluster Category Manager, Japan

Location: Tokyo

The VC (Video Collaboration) is one of the key growth pillars for Japan B2B
business and the main area that Logitech/Logicool is heavily investing to grow
B2B business in Japan. The VC CCM (Cluster Category Manager) functions as
a key role in driving VC business with hyper growth and not only gain share but
also expand the total VC market and make impact on the innovative workstyle
in Japan. In addition to VC, this position will take full ownership for HS
(Headset) category as well as category lead. This position works closely with
different functions including AP Regional Team (B2B), Japan B2B Sales team,
B2B marketing, Supply Chain team, Finance team, etc. to drive the category
strategy into action and lead to develop 4P programs to ensure the
achievement of the category target. He/she needs integrated capability and
should have a strong mind of ownership and self-motivation. The VC CCM
reports directly to Japan GM.

  • Responsible for P&L for total Japan VC category + Headset (HS)
    category

  • Responsible for making & leading 4P management, including product
    offering, new product launch, pricing, margin management, channel
    strategy for VC & HS category

  • Take ownership for demand / supply for VC & HS products, working
    closely with Sales & Supply Chain team

  • Analyzes B2B customer / partner requirements and share those
    feedback to VC &HS BG (Business Group) to reflect Japan local
    requirements to future products & solutions

  • Influence local B2B channel partners together with Sales team by
    sharing product roadmap, global strategy, and competitive analysis

  • Newly develop VC & HS execution plan based on customer insight,
    market dynamics, and competitive landscape

  • Leverage global strategic partners (Microsoft, Zoom, Google) here in
    Japan to activate local co-marketing & sales activities

  • Contribute to brand strategy development and deployment

Your Skills:

For consideration, you must bring the following skills and behaviors:

  • 5+ years of experience in the product marketing in B2B space, ideally HW devices

  • Manage a specific category/product with P/L responsibility as 4P lead

  • Strong vocalist to drive VC solution with "innovative work style" in the market as a core evangelist

  • Experience with full marketing mix, developing marketing plans and 360 campaigns

  • Experience in developing a brand, strategy recommendations and successfully growing a product line with comprehensive GTM plan/execution.

  • Passion for B2B customer needs and business dynamics  

  • In-depth experience in understanding B2B customer / partner preferences, attitudes, and other factors that influence 4P plan

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence brand strategy across the organization, is required.

  • Strong Data analytic skill

  • Ideal candidate has proven leadership skills to create strong internal/external relationships, while being a global team player.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse teams, both functionally and geographically is critical.

  • Ability to view issues from a broad strategic perspective and strong experience in problem solving, influencing and decision making.

  • Organizational savvy to understand how to get things done in a matrix organization

  • Creative and strong writer

  • Team player – great communicator

  • Self-management skills and self-started attitude highly valued

  • English fluent verbally and written is a must
