A Japanese renewable energy developer is expanding its project pipeline in the Philippines and is looking for a team member to be in charge of construction of solar and wind power projects.
Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for managing the construction of renewable energy projects, including:
- Acting as the owner's representative for solar and/or wind power plant construction.
- Overseeing the entire construction process.
- Coordinating with contractors and engineering teams to define specifications, review designs and plans, and manage execution.
- Communicating with stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure smooth progress.
- Supervising design and engineering teams, and guiding contractors on detailed design and construction planning.
- Monitoring quality control for civil, electrical, and equipment installation works, and preparing regular reports.
- Managing inspections, commissioning, and final handover.
- Leading site safety, schedule, and budget management.
- Reviewing punch lists and as-built documentation.
- Supporting local public relations when needed.
Required Skills & Experience
- Experience in civil engineering, architectural design, or construction (e.g., steel/concrete structures, site development, soil evaluation).
- Ability to negotiate, coordinate, plan, and solve problems proactively.
- Comfortable working in multicultural teams with good interpersonal skills.
- Experience in renewable energy project (PV or Wind) civil design and construction, especially in the Philippines.
- Knowledge of construction planning and execution.
- Business-level English communication skills. (Japanese language skill is NOT needed. )
