We are hiring a
Part-Time Japanese Accountant
to support monthly payroll and labor compliance tasks for our Japan-based team. This role is ideal for someone with strong knowledge of Japanese payroll processes, tax requirements, and social/labor insurance procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process monthly payroll (salaries, overtime, bonuses, deductions).
- Handle year-end adjustments (年末調整) and resident tax updates.
- Manage social and labor insurance filings and statutory reports.
- Support onboarding/offboarding (insurance enrollment/withdrawal).
- Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with Japanese labor laws.
- Assist with payroll-related journal entries and reconciliations.
Requirements:
- 2–5+ years of Japanese payroll/accounting experience.
- Knowledge of labor law, social insurance, and payroll tax.
- Experience with payroll systems (freee, Money Forward, Yayoi, etc.).
- Native-level Japanese; basic English helpful.
- Strong accuracy, confidentiality, and time management.
Schedule & Work Style:
- Part-time (approx. 10–20 hours/week).
- Flexible hours; ability to meet payroll deadlines required.
