About the Role

Monotype Japan is hiring a hands-on Enterprise Sales Manager to drive enterprise new logo growth while leading and developing the local sales team.

This is a true player–coach role for a senior sales leader who wants visible impact, direct ownership, and the opportunity to shape Monotype's growth

in Japan.

This is a hands-on role for a senior sales leader who enjoys closing deals personally, coaching

others, and owning Japan revenue results in a niche, high-value B2B market.

This position reports directly to the Japan COO / Global Sales leadership and works closely with

Customer Success, Marketing, Finance, Legal, and Product teams.

What You'll be doing: Drive Enterprise Sales (Player)


• Develop annual strategic sales plans to drive revenue and increase market share from new

clients (new logo acquisition).


• Assist team members in developing and closing deals.


• Build and nurture mutually productive partnerships across the organization, including

product, marketing, customer success, sales operations, finance, legal and human

resources.

Lead the Sales Team (Coach)

• Build, develop, train and manage the Japan sales team to achieve Company revenue targets

and initiatives.


• Managing a team of 7-8 Enterprise Account Professionals.


• Run pipeline reviews, forecasting, and deal discussions


• Support hiring, onboarding, and skill development


• Set quality objectives, performance standards and priorities that are implemented and

monitored across the team.


• Deliver Japan sales strategy aligned with global priorities


• Maintain accurate forecasting and CRM hygiene


• Manage and deliver detailed and accurate sales forecasting.


• Identify expansion, upsell, and long-term growth opportunities


• Drive and implement sales selling cycle and methodology based on internal process, market

research and competitor analyses

What We're Looking For


• 7+ years of B2B enterprise sales experience (SaaS, software, IT, digital, or similar)


• Experience leading sales teams in Japan and working within a Global environment.


• Proven success in new logo development.


• Familiarity with value-based sales and methodologies.


• Confidence in commission sales.


• Ability to work with customers and internal team members to estimate service needs.


• Proven ability in managing complex sales cycles from start to finish.


• Familiarity with consultative selling methodologies.


• Fluent Japanese and smooth English communication skills.

Compensation & Benefits


• 60/40 uncapped commission split, with competitive base salary.
