The Role of Medical Advisor
As a Medical Advisor, you will collaborate with the Medical Affairs team, Medical Science Liaisons (MSLs), and other stakeholders to ensure alignment of medical affairs activities. Your expertise will enhance team capabilities, driving scientific dialogue through various channels such as medical information, MSL, Key Opinion Leaders (KOL) engagements, medical education, publications, and advisory boards.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in the development, optimization, and execution of effective medical strategies within assigned therapy areas/products to achieve goals.
- Evaluate and align the scientific communication platform for local and global plans.
- Provide sound scientific and medical guidance for marketing strategies related to therapy areas/products.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop action plans for positioning products in response to unmet medical needs and market dynamics.
- Establish and optimize internal scientific resources for internal use.
- Oversee the development and execution of the medical education plan based on Health Care Partner (HCP) learning needs for assigned brands/therapy areas.
Qualifications
- Minimum PhD or master's degree (with relevant working experience in Medical Affairs) in science (pharmaceutical science preferred).
- Minimum of 3 years' experience within the pharmaceutical industry (Clinical, Medical Affairs departments) or researching on the academic side.
- Specialist-level therapeutic knowledge (related therapeutic area such as cardiovascular, diabetes, endocrinology, nephrology preferred).
- Strong project management skills and presentation skills.
- Native level Japanese and business-level English communication skills required.
