Orion - New Business Development Manager
Job Title (Position): New Business Development Manager (Position: Expert / Managerial Supervisor Level)

Work Location: Okinawa Prefecture (Nago Factory, Itoman Winery, Tomigusuku Head Office)
Reports To: Head of Product Development Department
Job Responsibilities:
As the leader for new business development for Orion Beer, you will be responsible for generating, validating, and launching new business ideas that leverage local resources and brand value. While considering synergy with existing businesses, you will promote business development that delivers Okinawa-born value nationally and globally.
【Beverage Development Field】
- Exploration of potential product concepts, product development (taste/formulation), new raw material development
- Information exchange and relationship building with raw material and supply vendors
- Production support tasks (brewing, bottling, cost & liquor tax ledger management)
【Business Development Field】
- Planning and proposing new businesses, market research, hypothesis testing (including new businesses in the Cornes domain, such as diversified alcoholic beverages and moromi vinegar)
- Business model design, execution of proof-of-concept trials, and proposal of improvements
- Co-creation and partnerships with startups, universities, and research institutions
- Building and managing a mid-to-long-term business portfolio
Required Experience & Qualities
【Mandatory Requirements】
- Manufacturing experience in the alcoholic beverage or food industry (3+ years)
- Business experience in new business development or a startup environment (3+ years)
- Market research, business planning, and presentation skills
- Project management skills
- Cross-team collaboration skills
- Skills in coordination and collaboration with diverse stakeholders
- Must reside in Okinawa and be flexible to work at various locations within the prefecture
- Interest and knowledge in wellness/lifestyle-related fields (healthcare, tourism, hospitality, etc.)
【Preferred Conditions】
- Knowledge of liquor tax law and food labeling regulations
- Beverage-related qualifications (e.g., Sommelier, Whisky Expert)
- Experience launching new businesses in the healthcare industry
- Understanding of and affinity for Okinawan culture, nature, and lifestyle
- English proficiency (for overseas trend research, etc.)
- Experience in building and managing mid-to-long-term business portfolios
