JOB DESCRIPTION: 

Sehlke Consulting is currently seeking qualified candidates to fill a Senior Logistics Analyst position to support the III MEF G-4 in Okinawa Japan. This position will provide MEF level materiel readiness analysis with practical knowledge of the nature of logistics operations, materiel's, equipment, facilities, budgeting, and methods of production to plan, assess, advise, monitor, and resolve problems of maintenance, sustainment, or production operations/acquisitions.  This position will provide assistance to the MSC G-4's within the complete realm of Marine Air Ground Task Force Logistics. The project this position will support includes technical contracted services solutions that will accelerate product delivery, enhance data analytics, and optimize the effectiveness of supply accountability, maintenance sustainment production and sustainment budget formulation.

Duties and expectations include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Plan, estimate, schedule, and evaluate Materiel Readiness as related to the operations of III MEF
  • Processes data and prepares cost/schedule performance reports
  • Provide equipment status reports to III MEF leadership
  • Provide assistance to III MEF MSCs relative to maintenance issues with Ground Combat and Combat Support equipment
  • Must be able to coordinate with higher, adjacent and all subordinate III MEF commands in all matters regarding operational and tactical level supply/maintenance/budget issues
  • Coordinate materiel readiness responses to external tasking or queries; provide guidance and assistance to III MEF MSCs regarding supply, maintenance, and sustainment budget policy/procedures
  • Working with a Financial Management team look for Robotic Process Automation opportunities to assist the I MEF client automate laborious processes
  • Conduct organizational risk estimates as it pertains to equipment readiness and sustainment fiscal posture

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:  Must be able to attain a SECRET clearance

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: 

  • 15+ years' experience in USMC maintenance and supply processes and procedures, and an understanding of the POM process and PPBEA.
  • Broad knowledge of a wide range of analytical and evaluative methods, systems, and processes for the assessment and improvement of program effectiveness or complex management processes and systems. This position is expected to have broad knowledge of regulations and guidelines, as well as Joint, DoD, DoN, and Marine Corps directives and publications that affect the use of programs and initiatives within the III MEF G-4 and Materiel Readiness Branch. Must have proficient knowledge of the Programming and Budgeting Processes to support Marine Corps Programming Code (MCPC /798 for Secondary Reparables and Organizational and Intermediate Maintenance; must possess proficient knowledge with all supply/maintenance support information tools: Global Combat Support System (GCSS), Total Force Structure Management System (TFSMS), the Marine Corps on-line Small Arms Registry and other systems and websites for equipment visibility and management; must possess knowledge of the following reports: Due and Status File (DASF), Material Allowance List (MAL), Consolidated Memorandum Receipts (CMR), Small Arms and Loaded Unit Balance File (LUBF); provide III MEF situational awareness regarding maintenance readiness support, fiscal risk, and accountability issues as they relate to training, operations, and contingencies. 

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Must possess intermediate, or higher, level computer skills, to include spreadsheets, database, graphics construction, and word processing. Work requires communication, organizational, and computer skills to prepare project papers, staff reports, executive-level correspondence, and provide briefs (oral and written) to flag level and civilian equivalent.
  • This position is sedentary; no extraordinary physical ability is required to perform the work.
