A multinational aircraft financing and leasing services company is seeking a Compliance Officer. The selected candidate will oversee licensing, strengthen compliance frameworks, and guide business operations to meet regulatory standards. This is a hybrid role.
Responsibilities:
- Lead application process for the Type II Financial Instruments Business license
- Enhance internal compliance frameworks, policies and monitoring systems
- Deliver compliance training programs and stay updated on regulatory requirements
- Review sales, marketing and client materials to ensure regulatory alignment
- Manage regulatory reporting, audits and responses to authorities
- Conduct ongoing compliance monitoring and provide remediation recommendations
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or above in Law, Finance, Business or related field
- More than 3 years of experience as a compliance officer
- More than 3 years of equivalent experience in compliance or internal audit functions within Financial Institutions
- Possess valid Type II Business license holder
- Native level Japanese; business level reading, spoken, and written English
Preferred requirements:
- Experience in developing compliance frameworks, policies, and training programs from the ground up
- Prior experience in leading a licensing application with the Japanese regulatory authorities
