Alibaba Cloud are looking for an entry-level professional to join Alibaba Cloud's IDC team and explore the large-scale data centers. You will contribute to solution design, research and operational optimization for our Data Center.
Job responsibilities:
- Responsible for exploring cutting-edge technologies (such as energy, power, HVAC, monitoring, etc.) in Alibaba Cloud's IDC data center infrastructure, conducting research and development, implementation, and scaling;
- Participate in the planning, positioning, solution design, construction management, and operation optimization of world-class, large-scale IDC data centers;
- Build the technical framework for Alibaba IDC data centers, from the underlying infrastructure to upper-level technical products, and iterate and optimize them;
- Participate in the formulation and development of data center architecture systems suitable for Alibaba's application ecosystem;
- Lead the technological development direction of the IDC data center industry.
Position Requirement:
- Bachelor Degree of Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or any relevant study.
- Experience collaborating with individuals across internal and external organizations, and other geographies.
- Able to execute multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
- Must be "hands-on" and willing to roll up sleeve to support operational activities.
- Knowledge with data center hardware, including servers and network equipment.
- Managing asset related daily operational activities.
- Good analytical skills to query on data sources and able to gather insights from complex data.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed (25% to 50%+ at times).
- Strong learning ability, curiosity about emerging technologies, and adaptability to new environments.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and independent problem-solving skills.
- Fluent in Chinese and Japanese as a working language and proficiency in Japanese language (JLPT N1).
- Internship or project experience in cloud computing or the data center industry is preferred.
