- Design and implement

between technical debt paydown and feature velocity - Drive
cross-functional alignment
with Product, QA, UX, and Business Development teams - Establish
hiring, evaluation, and career development systems
for rapid team expansion - Balance
release quality and speed
while maintaining production stability

- Backend:
Kotlin, Ktor, Spring Boot with PostgreSQL and Elasticsearch - Frontend:

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Essential Experience:
- 5+ years building web applications
using statically-typed languages (for eg Kotlin, TypeScript, Java, C#, Go etc.) - Led teams of 5+ engineers
through complete project lifecycles with measurable outcomes - Designed hiring and evaluation systems
that scaled engineering organizations effectively - Agile/Scrum leadership experience
with proven ability to adapt processes to team needs - Deep understanding
of software lifecycle including QA, security, and production operations - Valid work authorization
for Japan or current Japan residency - Business-level proficiency in both Japanese and English
Welcome Experience:
- Public cloud expertise
(GCP strongly preferred, AWS/Azure also valuable) - AI/ML product experience
— integrating generative AI and search technologies into production systems - Large-scale SaaS challenges
— microservices architecture, organizational redesign, scaling pain points - Distributed team management
