Responsibilities:

• Develop reinsurance strategies and solutions with internal and external partners to achieve MetLife's financial objectives, optimize capital efficiency, and manage risks.
• Coordinate and oversee structuring and negotiation of new reinsurance transactions.
• Coordinate and develop appropriate reinsurance solutions for new insurance products to optimize capital efficiency and manage risks.

Experience:

• Life Insurance experience or comparable financial industry experience
• Working experience in the insurance or finance fields for 10 years (or enough time to understand the dynamics of an insurance company balance sheet under Japanese accounting standards.

Skills:

• Ability to drive a business proposal from idea formulation to implementation.
• Negotiation skills
• Business writing skills, presentation skills
• Proficiency with Excel, Word, PowerPoint
• Qualifications: Actuarial skills at Fellowship level

Language:

• Japanese: native proficiency
• English: fluent proficiency. Interacting with counterparts in other countries, especially in the US, is likely

A good self-starter who can work as a team
