Key Responsibilities

Strategic Customer Engagement – Key Automotive Clients

  • Develop and sustain a robust talent pipeline aligned with key customers' organizational structures, spanning executive to operational levels.
  • Orchestrate high-impact business dialogues between customer leadership and Lear senior executives to foster strategic alignment.
  • Map and engage key decision-makers across purchasing, engineering, and project planning functions to influence outcomes and drive collaboration.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Establish structured, recurring touchpoints with customers to communicate program status, align on strategic priorities, and proactively address challenges.
  • Represent Lear in global site visits with customer stakeholders to reinforce transparency, trust, and long-term partnership.

Innovation Acceleration

  • Partner with Lear's Advanced Engineering team to co-develop and fast-track innovation initiatives with customer engineering teams, leveraging Lear's global R&D capabilities.

Regional Growth Strategy

  • Formulate and execute a comprehensive growth roadmap for strategic customer business in Asia, in close coordination with Lear's regional commercial leadership.

Program Financial Oversight

  • Provide financial stewardship across all program phases—from advanced development to production—ensuring alignment with budgetary targets and profitability goals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering, business, or related field.
  • Demonstrated leadership in managing cross-functional, multicultural teams across regions.
  • Strategic mindset with strong business acumen and global operational awareness.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills; adept at influencing senior stakeholders and leading high-level discussions.
  • Native-level proficiency in Japanese (mandatory).
  • Fluent in English, with the ability to conduct business confidently in a global environment.
  • Deep familiarity with Japanese automotive industry culture, decision-making processes, and business practices.
