Business Overview

Incubation Business is creating the future core businesses of Rakuten in new business domains.

Our mission is to startup services that does not exist in the market or work on something that is about to become a trend in small teams like a startup venture in Rakuten.

Department Overview

We are looking for a new work-ready member to start and build one of our new businesses.

You will be in charge of business planning, execution, partner development and other various tasks related to new businesses.

By joining us, you will have opportunities to address various possibilities in cutting edge fields with talented team members.


In addition to the businesses currently listed on our website, we have launched and grown a variety of other businesses.

Position Details


We are now looking for a new team member and leader candidate who will be an immediate asset to the Business Planning Department.

You will be engaged in a variety of tasks such as new business planning, service launch and business growth.


Phases of projects vary on each project such as from planning new business from scratch to grow businesses after launch.

We expect new members to lead dynamic new business development with the sense of responsibility and speed.

The project you are assigned to will be determined by your orientation and aptitude.
Overall business planning and verification
Strategic alliance negotiation and execution
New customer development
Service planning and operation
Project management
Team development (Leader Candidate only) etc.
Staff will work with leaders and proceed various tasks above together.

Work Environment

The PMO Section is a small, elite organization.

You will be able to take charge of various projects within the Incubation Company across the board.

Mandatory Qualifications

Leader candidate

Business development or strategic consultant experiences
Strategic alliance negotiation and execution experiences
Project management experiences
Responsibility and get things done mind
Microsoft Office (PPT, Excel, etc.) skills
